Entry #3: Logan Paul - An Social Influencer or A Ridiculous Youtuber
In this modern technology era, social network becomes a popular place where people could show themselves to the world, either real or fake personalities. Many people find way to create their life and achieve success on social media; some people succeed and become famous, others have struggled to pursue their dreams. However, in those who succeed, there are people who are blind to their digital identity, which helps them create money and reputation, but lose ones true self.
Let's talk about Logan Paul, a famous Youtuber, who lost his ego just because of the view on his videos.
When Youtube became one of the top entertainment sites, Logan paul quickly took this opportunity and made a channel for him. he began a daily video series on YouTube under the name "Logan Paul Vlogs". This is where he started getting more attention because of funny and cool Vlogs Video. His audience is mostly teenager and they seem to enjoy his videos, and that, said Paul, is a source of inspiration for him to create more videos and pursue passion. Fame suddenly increased in a short time and he became one of the top Youtuber.
But, that was where he lost himself. "When you jump into the mud, you will get smudged." The ridiculous of Logan Paul began to appear to satisfy the fan and it was growing.
Not long ago, a video of Logan Paul shocked many social networking sites because of its content. Logan Paul uploaded a video in which he and his friend went to the jungle of Aokigahara in Japan, accidentally catching a suicide carcass and standing there laughing. "We've just found a hangman," Logan asked the companion, as well as he shown the dead body of the dead man right before the camera.
The video was controversial and you got up on YouTube. Thousands of people immediately dropped this vlogger follower on YouTube. Logan Paul was so harshly criticized that he had to remove the video in Japan and filmed an apology video explaining the incident.
Of course, YouTube had a strong warning with even the most subscribed channels such as Logan Paul. He was cut off from Preferred video on the platform. Everything seemed to have stopped, and Logan has drawn a lesson and changed. But everything goes on. Yesterday, he uploaded a video which featuring dead rats being Tasered. The community started to criticize and condemne Paul for doing so. And Youtube, once again, has temporarily suspended all ads on his videos. This means that he will not be making any money from his videos anymore.
It's easy to see that Logan Paul has sank into the digital identity on Youtube and lost the person himself. He started to become ridiculous and thoughtless. Do not get me wrong, he used to have good videos, although not a fan, but I like them. Sadly, the influence of social networking has changed him. To be honest, his recent videos are having a negative impact on the younger generation, especially those who are his fans.
That being stated, social networking is becoming more popular and becoming mainstream entertainment, especially Youtube. Its influence is enormous not only to the people who make the video but also to people who watch the video. People easily lose their self because of things like this, like Logan Paul. Just because of the transient benefits that his career is on the verge and the risk of being sued in many countries, especially in Japan.
We really have to take a serious look at our digital identities in today's technology era. Do not be too immersed in the illusion that to lose what is good.

I agree with you we need to be mindful of our social identities. However I don't feel like a person should have to censor or limit who they are for others. An accident and it's an accident. And just because someone gets hurt doesn't mean it was intentional.
